What did you learn this week? 

This week, I learned about the food chains and the food webs. I also learned about the different biomes that are represented around the world. I learned that the different biomes are Forest, Desert, Marine, Freshwater, Tundra, and Grassland. These biomes have many differences but also some similarities. I learned that in each biome, there are many food chains and food webs. 

Can you relate to what you learned with what you already knew? 

I taught an online lesson about predators and prey and food chains for my zoom lesson assignment in the teaching and learning technologies class last semester. Since making this lesson I was able to relate to the basic content I was teaching in the zoom lesson with this class. The lesson I made was very minimal information because it was made for young elementary students but it was nice to know the very basic information for what we are learning now. 

How can you apply what you've learned to your teaching in the future? 

I loved how we used the visuals in different groups to display the biomes. I will use this activity in my future teaching because I believe that students comprehend better when they are building visual aids for what they are learning. I will also do the groupings like we did in class because then my students are able to present and teach one another what they learned.
